Response Protocols to COVID-19

Crystal Springs Resort operates with no higher priority than the well-being and safety of our guests, team members and community. To this end, we ask that you please review the important resortwide FAQs and policies posted here. 

The following protocols are in effect throughout the Resort: 

  • Indoor mask mandates for guests have been lifted. 
  • Resort staff (apart from life guards, line cooks and personal trainers) working indoors are required to wear masks at this time.
  • Resort staff working outdoors are not required to wear masks, but will respect social distancing.

GENERAL

What venues are open at Crystal Springs Resort?

Currently, all of the following Resort venues are open:

  • Hotels: Grand Cascades Lodge, Minerals Hotel
  • Spas: Elements Spa, Reflections Spa 
  • Golf: Ballyowen, Black Bear, Cascades Crystal Springs, Minerals and Wild Turkey
  • Dining/Bars: Crystal Tavern, Springs Bistro, Restaurant Latour, Chef's Garden, Biosphere Cafe, Vista 180 Cafe, Beer Garden, Rosebud Roasters, Kites - An American Grille, Zinc Cafe, The Pool Bar,  Moonshine/Farmstand
  • Fitness Club: Classes, indoor/outdoor swimming pools, steam room, sauna, locker/showers, personal training, nutrition consultation

 

When do I need to wear a face covering?

    Resort guests are not required to wear a face covering while on property, but may do so at their own discretion.

    SAFETY PROTOCOLS

    What cleaning and sanitization procedures does the Resort have in place?

      We execute a multi-pronged cleaning program, elevating our cleanliness standards and sanitization procedures. Guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned using hospital-grade disinfectant prior to check-in and after guest departure. All touch points and hard surfaces in all common areas are cleaned rigorously and frequently.

       

      What procedures are the Resort following with regard to monitoring staff health? 

      Crystal Springs Resort is following the below protocols for on-site employees:

      • Conducting daily health checks of employees such as temperature screenings, visual symptom checking, self-assessment checklists and health questionnaires.
      • Requirement that all employees wear masks when indoors.
      • Provision of employee breaks for frequent handwashing throughout the workday.

       

      What guidelines must guests follow prior to their arrival?

        Guests must sign a Hotel Guest Waiver and Health Declaration (please read for full details). We ask that guests shower prior to their arrival.

         

        What protocols should guests follow once on property?

        • Guests are encouraged to act responsibly while at the Resort
        • Face coverings are no longer required, but may be worn at guests' discretion
        • Hand sanitizer stations wiil remain throughout the Resort 

        HOTELS

        Will I have to sign a health declaration prior to my arrival?

          Yes, the Hotel Guest Waiver and Health Declaration will need to be filled out prior to check-in.

           

          Can I be guaranteed a newly renovated room if I book at Grand Cascades Lodge? 

            Yes. All rooms available for guest booking are renovated.

             

            Does each guest room have self-contained cooling and heating systems?

            All of the Resort’s hotel guest rooms have individual air conditioner and heating units.

             

            Is the Resort shuttle service available?

              Shuttle service is not being offered at this time. 

               

              Can I use the hotel amenities before checking in and after checking out?

                Not at this time. Amenities are only accessible for in-house guests. Check-in is at 4 pm and Resort amenities may be used after this time. 

                 

                Can I use the amenities at your sister property?

                Not at this time. Amenities may only be used at the property where guests are staying.

                 

                Can I request a late checkout?

                Guests may have a late checkout for a fee of $50.

                 

                What is your cancellation policy?

                  Our No Hassle, No Penalty 100% Cancellation Policy allows for reservations to be moved or cancelled at any time and for any reason up to one week prior to a stay with no change or cancellation fees.

                  SWIMMING POOLS

                  Are the swimming pools open?

                    The Resort's indoor and outdoor pools are open at both Grand Cascades Lodge and Minerals Hotel. 

                     

                    Do you offer day passes to the pools?

                    In order to ensure that our hotel guests and members have comfortable access to our pools, we are not offering day passes for sale at this time.

                     

                    Are reservations required for pool usage? 

                    Reservations are not required and guests may use the pool on a first come, first served basis. 

                     

                    What is the sanitization policy at the Resort pools? 

                    In order to maintain a healthy environment which allows our valued guests to safely enjoy the pool complexes, hotel staff will sanitize surfaces on a regular basis throughout the day.

                    DINING

                    Where can I get breakfast? 

                      Grand Cascades Lodge: Breakfast available at Crystal Tavern from 8 - 11 am. 

                      Minerals Hotel: Breakfast/Brunch available at Kites - An American Grille from 8 am - 5 pm.

                       

                      Where can I have lunch and dinner?

                      Several Resort venues are open for both indoor and outdoor dining. View current schedule.

                       

                      Are your restaurants open for indoor dining? 

                      Our restaurants are open for indoor dining, and we continue to offer outdoor dining, weather permitting. Reservations are strongly recommended for our dining venues.

                       

                      Is room service available?

                      Yes, room service is available at both Grand Cascades Lodge and Minerals Hotel.

                      ACTIVITIES & AMENITIES

                      What activities are available for guests?

                        The Resort offers a wide array of activities across both properties, as well as nearby attractions for guests’ enjoyment.

                         

                        Can I use the gym? Are classes available?

                          Minerals Sports Club's indoor facilities, fitness classes and racquetball courts are open for members at this time. Personal training sessions are available. 

                           

                          What should I know about my spa visit?

                          Please read the following spa policies which guests must adhere to prior to arrival and upon check-in.  

                          Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Crystal Springs Resort remained fully committed to following all Federal, State and Local health department regulations relating to mitigation of the virus. We adopted Standard Operating Procedures based on the American Hotel & Lodging Association's 'Safe Stay' program, an industry-wide enhanced standard of health and safety protocols. 

                          In addition, for areas of our business outside of core hotel operations, we implemented best practices based on guidance from relevant industry associations such as the USGA, National Restaurant Association, the USDA and the International Spa Association. 

                          As regulations continue to evolve, the Resort will monitor and adhere to protocol in order to ensure a healthy and responsible environment for our valued guests and staff.

                          We execute a multi-pronged platform which elevates our cleanliness standards and sanitization procedures to meet existing health and safety standards. Please review the following protocols: 

                          • Prior to guest arrival, guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized using hospital-grade disinfectants.
                          • Printed in room directories, pamphlets and brochures have been removed from guest rooms and common areas. Directory information will be available via in room entertainment systems and the Resort website.
                          • Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the Resort, e.g. at entrances, hotel reception, elevator banks, fitness spaces and golf courses.
                          • Any equipment or fixtures used by guests in activities is thoroughly sanitized between uses.
                          • Face coverings will be worn by Resort staff. 

                            • Check-in is at 4 pm. Resort amenities may not be utilized prior to this time. 
                            • Valet parking service is suspended at this time.
                            • Luggage carts are located in the lobby vestibule and available for either bell service or self-serve usage. Carts are thoroughly sanitized between each use.
                            • Check-out is automated at 11 AM. On day of departure, you may view your hotel bill on the in-room TV and leave the hotel keys in your room. 

                            Supporting a safe and responsible environment is a group effort, and to that end, we ask the following of our guests:

                            • Prior to arrival, and at the time of check in, guests will be asked to confirm that in the last 14 days that no one in their party has tested positive for COVID-19, has exhibited signs of the virus or has been in close contact with anyone known or suspected to have the virus.
                            • While visiting, guests will be asked to adhere to maintain proper personal hygiene 

                            Practice of proper personal hygiene by guests and staff is important in supporting our common goal of maintaining a safe environment.

                            • Crystal Springs Resort staff (apart from life guards, line cooks and personal trainers) will continue to wear masks when indoors.
                            • Guests are asked to practice proper personal hygiene including the frequent washing of hands.
                            • Guests are encouraged to use hand sanitizer stations that are located throughout the property.

                              SWIMMING POOLS

                              Grand Cascades Lodge and Minerals Hotel indoor and outdoor pools are open at this time.

                              • We do not offer pool day passes at this time.
                              • Hotel guests are not able to use the pools prior to check-in or check-out.
                              • Guests are required to shower prior to arriving at the pool area.
                              • Staff must wear a face covering at all times (apart from on-duty lifeguards).
                              • Regularly scheduled disinfecting will take place in restrooms, on all common surfaces, and on slide structures.
                              • Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the pool area.
                              • Hot tubs, sauna and steam room are open at Minerals Hotel, and remain closed at Grand Cascades Lodge. 

                              Minerals Hotel only - Pool update

                              • The large outdoor pool and splash pad will be open on weekends only (Saturday & Sunday) until the summer schedule begins on 6/19.
                              • Pool hours of operation from 6/19 – 9/6:  
                                • Indoor pool, in/out pool and hot tubs: 10 am – 10 pm
                                • Large outdoor pool and splash pad: 10 am – 8 pm

                                SPAS

                                Please review our spa guidelines:

                                • Services are by appointment-only, apart from express walk-in massages and facials.
                                • Cancel your appointment if you have any symptoms of COVID-19
                                • Complete the spa waiver prior to check-in
                                • A temperature scan will be performed prior to check-in
                                • Spa staff are required to wear face coverings 
                                • Spa staff must wash and sanitize hands before and after each service
                                • Enhanced cleaning and disinfection practices have been implemented

                                HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER

                                Minerals Sports Club indoor facilities are open for member use. 

                                • Before reactivating membership, a member must sign an addendum to their membership agreement which includes a declaration that they will not visit the premises or attend classes if they have exhibited symptoms of COVID-19 or knowingly had exposure to the virus in the last 14 days.  Please click here for additional information on new policies relating to COVID-19.
                                • Members must have a wristband to attend class. 
                                • If a class is cancelled or relocated due to inclement weather or another event, members will be texted and we will post the cancellation information on our Facebook page. 

                                We invite members to safely and responsibly experience the area's premier fitness, sports and social club, conveniently located in Sussex County and just minutes from Warwick, NY. We offer a host of gym membership options and payment plans to fit every schedule, budget, and age group.  Enjoy:

                                Hotel Guest usage: Minerals Hotel guests may enjoy complimentary access to the cardio/weight training areas. Grand Cascades Lodge guests may use these areas for a $20 fee for up to two hours. Please note that pools or fitness classes are not included at this time.

                                  With a breathtaking natural setting located on thousands of acres of wide open space, Crystal Springs will continue to be a playground for all ages - providing our guests memorable activities that are both responsible and FUN. 

                                  Our experienced, creative hospitality professionals are experts in finding ways to delight our guests, and we look forward to introducing new activities to our guests this summer. Most of our regular offerings will be available, including fishing, archery, nature trails, golf, footgolf, putting courses, farm animal visits, pony rides, outdoor movies and entertainment. 

                                  The Resort will also reopen the Mountaintop Lake, which features canoeing and kayaking on a pristine lake, as well as hiking and sunbathing at this time. The Quarry, surrounded by dramatic stone cliffs and filled with refreshing water, will offer fishing and archery.

                                  The following protocols have been put in place to benefit the safety of our guests and employees:

                                  • Guests will be required to wash their hands prior to participation. 
                                  • Sanitizing wipes will be available for guests to utilize at their discretion.

                                      Crystal Springs Resort is proud of its culinary heritage and history of offering outstanding food in a breathtaking setting - always delivered with genuine hospitality. 

                                      The Resort offers indoor and outdoor dining, as well as room service delivery. Please note that reservations are strongly recommended for our restaurants. Guests are required to follow these guidelines while at our restaurants: 

                                      • Do not enter if you have had any COVID-19 symptoms or have tested positive for this virus in the past 14 days.
                                      • Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer prior to entering.
                                      • Smoking is not permitted in dining areas.
